We are starting a "New Season". A "Season" of remembering why we are Democrats and why it's important to stay the course in moving "Forward". As I stated yesterday we are in "Critical Times" on the State level but we can not loose focus on the local level. There is a Mayor, City Council, Town Boards and School Board races. We have to be prepared, focused and ready to make sure we are getting "Good Democrats" elected and holding them accountable! The only way we can be successful is to be United, getting Democrats Educated on the Issues and the Candidates, growing the Precincts, and most important "Getting Out the Vote"!
I would like to Thank All Democrats who organized their precincts, attended the Convention, but this is the beginning. Let's work together in getting the rest of the Democrats in Mecklenburg County excited and "Fired Up". We can do this but most important, we can not afford not to. In the next ten days the new Board will be meeting and the previous Board will be transitioning. I am looking forward to this transition and working with my new Board: 1st Vice Marc Friedland. 2nd Vice Cynthia Wallace, 3rd Vice Jeff Jackson, Secretary Toria Boldware, Treasurer Paula Harvey, and the many Auxiliaries . Please be prepared to attend our May meeting, information on the date and time will be sent out and be listed on our website.
In the words of President John F. Kennedy; "Ask not what your Country can do for you, but what can you do for your Country" let's replace the word Country with County as we move "Forward Together"! Thank you again, and I am looking forward to making great things happen in Mecklenburg County.
Sincerely,
